博傻理论，中文里的含义是：投资者（确切说应该是投机者）明知某项资产的价格已经明显高估，却仍然花钱购买，希望能有一个比自己更傻的人会接盘（当自己的下家），这样自己就可以从中渔利。英文里，博傻理论对应的翻译为：greater fool theory，有时也叫bigger fool theory。这里的greater/bigger，意指（比自己）更… 的，而fool，则是笨蛋、傻瓜之意思。
