前几天有网站的读者提到这个问题：Advice这个词是可数名词，还是不可数名词呢？这个问题其实挺有代表性，我们一起来了解下答案。
Advice，其意思是“建议”，在英文中，它属于不可数名词（uncountable noun，也叫mass noun）。所谓不可数名词，指英文中不能分别计数（不能用数字将其数出来）的名词，比如：information（信息）、water（水）、rain（雨）、earth（土壤）、happiness（快乐）、freedom（自由）、truth（真相），你无法在这类词的前面直接加上表示数量的词，如：a, an, one, two, three等。许多抽象名词（abstract noun）往往属于不可数名词，advice恰好是其中之一。不可数名词的复数（plural）形式，就是它自身，而无需在词尾添加s，或es。
我们看个例子：
Could you give me some advice on this?（你能对此给我一些建议吗？）
你注意到了吗？上面这个例句中的advice不需要加s。如果要表示”一条、几条“建议，你可以说：a piece of advice，或者three pieces of advice。例如：Here are five pieces of advice that can help you nail that job interview.（下面的5条建议可以帮你搞定工作面试）。
